Quick & Easy Cards | Kathleen

Hi there πŸ™‚ Kathleen here today with some super quick and easy cards that you can make with your Creative Retreat June kits.

Each of these cards didn’t take more than 5 minutes – from cutting the cardstock until finishing the card πŸ™‚ I know that it’s not always important that a project is quick & easy, but sometimes you just suddenly need a card or a little something you can give to someone or you don’t have a lot of time but you really want to create something. For these situations these cards are perfect.

For the first one I used three of the rub ons that came in a package in the June kit. I love the sentiment “We must take adventures in order to know where we truly belong” and the way it is illustrated. It almost looks as if it was just printed or painted onto the card. This one could come in handy as a farewell card for someone who will go on a journey or who moves away.

The other two cards were made with the same “technique” (if we really want to call it that :D). I just repeated the same stamp over and over to create a background with it and then added a dimensional embellishment on top.

I am completely in love with this cute little “hello” speech bubble stamp! First of all, it’s perfect for some “just because” cards. You know, when there is no special occasion but you just want to say “hi”. And secondly, the stamped image is super sharp even though the handwritten “hello” is quite thin!

Often times you get a not so good stamped image with stamps like this one that have some fine details but this one here is perfect! Now I just want to try all the colour combinations and make more of this card πŸ˜€

I’m curious, which one is your favourite?Β  πŸ™‚
