Faithful | Bailey Jean

I think I could spend years in the Psalms and find new encouragement every time! When I saw this month’s kits and the stamps that were included, I knew that smack dab in the middle of David’s songs was where I would be headed. Happy polkadots and bright stripes aside, it was the “faithful” stamp that set the tone for what is now one of my favorite pages.

Again and again David sings of the steadfast love of the Lord, and reminds us of His faithfulness even in the most trying times. I have to admit that the last few months have been quite the whirlwind in my world, but God has indeed been faithful.

IMG_7654In the ups and downs, the ugliness in my heart has surfaced, and I’ve found myself wading through bad habits, selfish thoughts, and a lot of the junk I thought I had already had figured out. As much as it hurt, and as hard as it was, I knew God was up to something.

Three weeks ago I got a new job, which sent me packing, moving, and settling into a new routine. Thankfully, spending time in the Word, painting and praying creatively, was something I could easily take with me. There are still so many details to be settled, so love notes from God and reminders around the house have become a game changer.

IMG_7655The quote I decided to use alongside this kit is by Matt Chandler, an author and pastor whose words always rock me to the core. It says:

“Love says: I’ve seen the ugly parts of you, and I’m staying.”

God sees the ugliness even when I don’t, and yet He chooses to stay. He chooses to go with me. He chooses ME anyway. He is always, always, always faithful. And for that I am eternally grateful!

Love & blessings, Bailey Jean
