Mini Faith Book | Jen

This month I decided to make a little faith book using the supplies in the March Faith Art Box. It’s a little book of bible verses, helpful quotes and some space to add thoughts and prayers.  When it is finished it will be a gift for a friend, hopefully there to encourage when needed.

To make the book I started with a little kraft journal that I picked up from my local craft shop.  It’s 7.5cm by 10.5cm and has 8 pages.  The perfect size to get decorating, not too many pages and, using the kit, it comes together pretty quickly.  I also added some bits and pieces from my stash and a couple of older kits.

Here is what I have done so far…

The front page is all stickers from the kit.  I love these sketchy flowers and the mix of colours that make this a nice bright start to the book.

On the inside cover I stamped ‘speak’ and ‘in love’ from the stamp set that came in the kit and added ‘the’ from another stamp set and the ‘truth’ sticker which is from the December Kit.  At the bottom of the page I stamped the florals from the kit with some other flowers that I had using white ink.

The next page is the boarder stamp, a piece of patterned paper, the arrow stamp and ‘trust in the Lord’ which is a stamp also from the December kit.  I love Creative Retreat stamps, they print so well.

The next page is a space to add prayer points.  I used a piece of patterned paper, added the ‘prayers’ sticker as well as the little crosses as bullet points.  I just added some hand-drawn lines as the space for prayers to be added.

Finally, for now, I did some hand lettering and used the boarder stamp again at the bottom of the page.

I’m really enjoying this little project.  Keep an eye out for more more pages.
