The Breath of the Almighty | Angela

Job is possibly my favorite book of the bible.  Whenever I need reminding of how little I actually am and how BIG God really is, I open to Job.  Typically, I start reading in chapter 38, and by the time I reach the end of Job (chapter 42), I’ve had a few slices of “humble pie!”  This time though when I flipped open to Job, I landed several chapters before 38 in chapter 33.  In this chapter, Elihu is giving some advice to Job.  He reminds him of where he came from, chapter 33 verses 4-6:

“The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.  Answer me if you can; set your words in order before me; take your stand.  Behold, I am toward God as you are; I too was pinched off from a piece of clay.”

I knew I needed to stay on these verses for a while, and journaling in the margin allows just that.

For this entry, I started stamping some of the words, hand lettering a couple, and then mixing it up with the letter stickers.  I love the cut outs that are provided by Ashley on the back of the devotional (subscriber bonus).  I used the banner and flower cut outs.  I always position everything prior to making it permanent to be sure I’m pleased with it.  Once I glued them down, I added the book and verse using more of the letter/number stickers .  Of course, I had to add a couple of the hearts….I love them so!  On this entry, I created lines for journaling at the bottom.  Finally, a few bows to complete it!

I pray that if you are reading this, you know how much you are loved by our Almighty God!  Yes, we are but a piece of clay….but in the Hands of the Master Potter.  Truly, He loves His Creation.
