The greatest love story ever told|Krystal

I can’t help but associate Nicolas Sparks with love stories. His books are so widely read and popular, some even becoming movies on the big screen. Today I want to talk to you about a greater author, an author of the greatest love story ever told. When you think of the Bible, have you ever thought of it as a love story, a love story written from God to you, a story so great, so powerful, so beautiful, and written just for you?

No matter what you have done, no matter where you are, God the father loves you. He gave his only son for you, for me, so that we may live and have life. Sure we all have read and heard John 3:16, many of us can recite it without even thinking about it. But for just a moment here let’s really think about what these words really truly mean in that verse.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 NLT

Jesus made the ultimate and perfect sacrifice with pierced hands and feet nailed to the cross, to die a death we all deserve, so that we may live. God gave his only son to us; God sacrificed his son so that we may live. That takes some serious love to do such a thing to lay down one’s own life for another (John 15:13).

For this bible journaling page I used the subscriber exclusive doily. First I cut the doily in half and then cut that half in half and glued them down to the corner pages of the bible.  Next I added some pink paint splatters to the page by mixing some water with pink acrylic paint and a paint brush, and then tapping the paint brush with my finger around the page giving it that splattered paint look.  Then I wrote out the phrase “The greatest love story ever told” by using a mix of the alpha stickers, word stickers, and stamps from the June faith art box.  I love the wonky heart stickers and had to add some of those around the page to tie in all the colors together.  Last I added my favorite part of the kit this month, that adorable denim bow to the top of my page.

Remember friends how much you are loved by the author and creator of the universe! You are his beloved daughter.  He made the ultimate sacrifice for YOU. He could never love you any more, or love you any less.  That sacrifice is the greatest love story ever told.
