Hi, everyone! It’s Cece and I want to share a song that’s been on my heart this week. This entry was inspired by this song from Hillsong.
None But Jesus – Hillsong UnitedIn the quiet, in the stillness
I know that You are God
In the secret of Your presence
I know there I am restoredWhen You call I won’t refuse
Each new day again I’ll chooseChorus:There is no one else for me, none but Jesus
Crucified to set me free
Now I live to bring Him praiseIn the chaos, in confusion
I know You’re sovereign still
In the moment of my weakness
You give…When You call I won’t delay
This my song through all my daysAll my delight is in You Lord
All of my hope, all of my strength
All my delight is in You Lord forever more
I absolutely LOVED creating with this kit. It’s so beautiful and simple and easy to use. Unfortunately, this kit’s all sold out. But don’t worry, you can order next month’s kit and it’s just as beautiful as this one.
First, I wanted a nice background so I blended some blue and yellow ink to match this kit’s color palette. I used VersaMagic chalk ink and blended it with a round sponge applicator. (This blue has always been a hit or miss for me as it doesn’t blend as well as the other colors. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s darker so it’s more obvious or because my applicator is old.)
Then I knew I wanted to journal the lyrics to None But Jesus by Hillsong United and I wanted to emphasize the bridge of the song– “All my delight is in You, Lord. All of my hope, all of my strength.” First I checked to see what stickers I had in words, which words I wanted to emphasize, and which words I wanted to write out. I laid out all the stickers and words and journaled the rest of the song.
Last, I finished the page with some polka dot and cross washy tapes, some gold and blue heart stickers, and completed it with the beautiful denim bow.
