Bible Journaling with Cece | He’s Overcome

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This verse reminds me of a song we sang at church recently by Elevation Worship called Ressurecting. Through His death on the cross and ressurection from the grave, God has overcome every single obstacle for us past, presemt, and future.

The head that once was crowned with thorns
Is crowned with glory now
The Savior knelt to wash our feet
Now at His feet we bow
The One who wore our sin and shame
Now robed in majesty
The radiance of perfect love
Now shines for all to see
Your name, Your name
Is victory
All praise, will rise
To Christ, our king
The fear that held us now gives way
To Him who is our peace
His final breath upon the cross
Is now alive in me
By Your spirit I will rise
From the ashes of defeat
The resurrected King, is resurrecting me
In Your name I come alive
To declare
These past couple of weeks have somewhat been difficult because it seemed as if the enemy has been in constant battle in me, among my friends, and in our community. And the sad thing is we have somewhat gone too long before putting a stop to it.
We need to declare His victory in our lives day by day, moment by moment. It’s a constant battle ground and it’s okay because we have already won! He’s won it for us. Let’s claim this promise today and everyday!
