Galatians 5:22 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
WHEW! That’s a long list of fruits, friends! Anyone else look at that and think, “Boy, I have a long way to go!?” I know I sure do! I think we all may be really great at possessing at least one or a few of the fruits, but it can be overwhelming to think of living out all of the fruits well. The key to this verse though, is “fruit of the Spirit.” That means we don’t have to attempt this on our own! We’d never be successful at embodying all the fruits unless it was the Spirit living within us anyway. What a relief! Anyone else with me? I’ve already learned that without the Holy Spirit’s help I tend to fail miserably at many of these. As a result, I’m so thankful that with the help of the Holy Spirit I CAN be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. Here’s to inviting the Spirit into our lives today and every day to encourage us to bear ALL THE FRUITS for His glory! AMEN.
In creating this page I wanted my Fruits of the Spirit tag to be the highlight. I created a tag from the cardstock packaging for the stamps in this month’s kit. I cut it to the size I wanted and punched a hole so I could add ribbons to the top. I watercolored the background and then added the stickers of each individual “fruit” with a fun dashed border around each. As you can see below, there’s also a prayer written on the back and I washi taped it onto the page so I can flip it over. I used watercolor splatters on my Bible page to tie in the juicy colors and found a fun washi that coordinates. The rest came together with the fruit stamps from the kit, watercolors, a highlighted verse, & additional stickers from the kit for character. What a fun verse to journal and this kit is absolutely perfect for it!
