Bible Journaling with Lew | By the Spirit

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.”

     Romans 8:14 NLT

Sometimes the scripture itself offers the best words that can be journaled. And that is A-okay.
I love this verse. We as Christians are children of God.
Children of GOD.
What do you think of when you read this verse? What images come to your mind when you read that you are a child of God?
I’m extremely fortunate in that I have a great relationship with my parents. They are wise, humble, funny, God-fearing, God-loving, and hard working. They have sacrificed a lot (and still do) for my sister and I. I love them to death, and have more respect and admiration for them than they will ever know.
That has significantly shaped how I see God as my heavenly Father. Honestly, it makes me nearly burst at the seams with joy when reading these verses. He loves me so much. He wants me in His family. He delights in me, grieves with me, laughs with me, and shares all of life’s moments with me. To Him I can pour my heart out, vent about the stupidest things, yell, scream, laugh, cry, and He will still be there, open arms, embracing me as His child. And how beautiful it is to have His Spirit abiding in me, making this intimate relationship possible.
You, friend, are also dearly beloved by God our Father. How do you view God as a Father?
This was super easy and therapeutic to make! I used the flower stamp from this month’s kit to create a half wreath border and then just colored (one of my favorite things to do) them in! I used some Gelatos that matched the kit for a fill color for my wreath and then used the alphabet stickers from the August Faith Art Box and some from my stash to write out the verse on my page. And of course I had to add the little blue bow that came with the kit 😉 And voila!
