Bible Journaling with Ashley | Kingdom Heir

Galatians 4:4-7 – “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law,  to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.”

I have always loved the idea of adoption by our Heavenly Father. A lot of that has to do with the fact that I have lacked a relationship with my earthly Father, so knowing I am a beloved daughter of the King heals my heart in a profound way. I love this passage on “Sons and Heirs” because it reminds me that not only am I a child of the One True King, but I am also an heir to His Kingdom! How amazing is that?! Through salvation I gained the perfect Father that I always needed and never had, but I also became much like a Princess since I am now an heir to the Kingdom of God! Although I didn’t get to be a daddy’s girl in my childhood, I sure feel like a Daddy’s girl now that I know I am His! These verses provide me with such comfort and are truths that continue to help mend a dad-sized hole in my heart. If you have a similar experience in life, my hope is that you too will find this healing through relationship with Christ. I pray that you would know how much God values, treasures, and fights for you because you are His beloved child. He is the best Daddy there is and He greatly desires for you to join His Kingdom by grace through faith. Choose Him and you’ll be always be ROYALTY in His eyes!

To create this page I first traced the floral print from the back of the devotional onto my margin. I then used Tombow Dual Brush Pens to color the floral print. I knew I wanted to utilize the lyrics from “Hello, my name is” by Matthew West, so that’s what I chose to highlight with stickers from the kit and lettering in my margin. Those lyrics immediately started playing in my mind when I opened this kit this month! I added the Child of God stamp at the bottom with some washi and stickers to match at the top. The verses that stood out to me are highlighted, although I loved the whole passage. I hope you have as much fun creating with this kit as I did! If you haven’t gotten yours yet, grab one before they’re gone!
