Daddy’s Little Girl / Bible Journaling with Julie

You can see the video for this Bible journaling process at the CR YouTube channel or using the link at the end of this post.

ACS_0013For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Romans 8:14-17)

Like many little girls, I dreamed about being a princess.  On my wedding day, I wore a beautiful, full, poofy dress, because I said that I wanted to look like a princess.  Cinderella and Belle were my two favorite Disney princesses.

But the truth is, I AM a princess!  I am a chosen, royal, precious child of the one true King.  This passage in Romans describes how I am an heir with Christ.  I am entitled to the royal robe and crown, because of the love God has lavished on me.  I can call God “Abba,” which means, “Daddy!”  It’s a close, personal, intimate term of endearment that I can use for the mighty, powerful King of the universe.  The paradox is incredible.  He loves me, and I am Daddy’s Little Girl!

I created this page with distress oxide inks, stickers, stamped images, and the devotional backing from the August Faith Art Box.  You can see the entire process on the CR YouTube channel.
