“And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord . Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. ”’

2 Corinthians 6:16‭-‬18 NLT

“Come out from among unbelievers”. I don’t think this means we do not interact with those that do not know Christ. But I do believe it means we shouldn’t blend in to their lives and look the same. We should be set apart and look different. Not just by appearance. But in our hearts. In how we speak. In our responses to others. In how we process trials. We should be filtering everything through Christ and live differently.

Often people notice the differences in us without us needing to define why we are this way. But I believe it’s so important to give God the glory. To tell others about Jesus. To tell them about what He has done in our lives. To share the joy we have found in Him. Tell them the gospel.

Honestly, I struggle with that. With saying it with words… I’m aware and I want to start working on this. To be BOLD. To get uncomfortable. What about you? Do you need to make some changes? Set yourself apart?

How amazing it is to know that God is calling us daughters. Daughter of the king.

ART TALK
I love the colors in this kit. I used Distress Oxides and paint to create this background. Used the kit stickers and stamps for the words. I wrote my name with a pen. Here is the link to get your August kit.

Blessings,

Colleen

  1. Amen! Thank you for those words of inspiration. It is a reminder to me of who I am and whose I am. I am a daughter if then King and thus should act as I am called. Powerful words. God bless.
