Psalm 119:105 – “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
For me, this verse is a reminder to hold fast to God’s precious Word. Personally, I spent many years of my life without even owning a Bible. Then I spent several more owning a Bible, but never opening it. Since I have found Bible Journaling though, God has created a heart change within me that only He could make happen. I now hope to keep His Word written on my heart for both the good days and the bad. In my mountain top highs I want to be singing His praise and giving Him all the glory. In the valley lows I want to be clinging to the Lord and His promises only; not things of this world. The best way for me to do that is to be in constant contact with His Word. Even better, to be putting His Word first, each and every day. After all, I’ve learned that God’s Word truly is “a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Without it, I’d be lost. It is my guidebook to living a life for God and I don’t want to be living any other way! Within the pages of the Bible are the only words I want to live by. Thank God that He has left us these precious love letters to lead us down the path He has created for us!
Once I saw that this kit was centered around a love for God’s Word I knew I had to get a little makeshift “Bible” onto one of my pages. What better verse than Psalm 119:105?! I used the super cute feather design from the devotional backing to create a little “book” that I could highlight the verse inside of. The stickers included in the kit were all so perfect to pair with my theme on this page that I used most of them! Of course, I highlighted the passage I focused on, included a hand-lettered prayer, and bordered the page with that beautiful feather washi. I think that feather stamp and the book-chapter-verse stamp are my absolute faves! I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful kit as much as I am, but more importantly, that the truths of God’s Word are sinking deep into your soul. May the Lord help you to keep His Word written on your heart always, as well!
