“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.” Proverbs 3: 13-14
For those who don’t know me, I am a homeschooling momma to eight children ranging in ages from 16 months to 16 years. Every morning before we begin our academics we gather for a time of Bible-reading and prayer. We just finished the Psalms and recently started Proverbs. If you are familiar with the book of Proverbs you know that it is full of golden nuggets! The common theme of the book is “wisdom.”
Proverbs 8: 11 says, “Wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.” The question that was asked in our morning time devotions was, “How do we get this wisdom?” Well, praise be to God who tells us where and how to obtain it!
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given.” James 1:5
“In Christ lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3
SO thankful to go before the Throne of God with my children and PRAY BIG…asking for the wisdom He promises to give.
For this entry I used a lot of the word and succulent stickers from this month’s kit. In addition, I added a tuck spot to write out the verse/prayer. The theme of this kit really has had me pondering the power of prayer and what it looks like to ask, seek, and knock. If you haven’t picked up your kit yet be sure to do so!
