Bible Journaling with Leah | Today and Always

Over the past few years God has drawn me closer to Him in many different ways. Sometimes I feel like I am constantly going up and down from valleys to mountain tops. Back in October of 2013, my husband and I decided we were ready to start a family. Everything went perfectly according to plan and our daughter was born in July the following year.

We thought having a second child would be just as simple, we were mistaken. I understand others struggles with infertility look much different, but the next 2 years were difficult when we were constantly disappointed month to month. In May of 2018, God decided to bless us with a very stubborn and sweet baby boy. This past year I have been reminded constantly that I can’t do this #momlife alone. God has shown me many times and through trying circumstances He is always faithful and always there to pick me up when I fall.

Hebrews 13:7-8 says “Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Even when God’s plan doesn’t always match up with our plan, He is still faithful and He loves us with a love that we cannot comprehend.

2 Samuel 7:15-16 reminds us about that steadfast never changing love. “but steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you. And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever.”

To make our story just a little more interesting, we are currently expecting #3 in December. Ultimately, God’s time is not our time; but is and always will be faithful!

I created a bookmark to remind myself that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and always. And for my entry, I used Creative Retreat Kits stickers, handlettering and washi tape to reflect on His steadfast love!
