Bible Journaling with Cece | Kind Words

This month’s devotional really got to me because it is one lesson that God continues to teach me.

If you knew me, you’d know that I am quiet and I keep to myself. A huge introvert. But, you’d also know me to be quite blunt and direct (to others and sometimes even to myself) which is not always a good thing because it can also be hurtful and mean (which I’ve been told. But the Lord tells us in His Word that “pleasant words are sweet to the soul.”

What a sweet reminder and encouragement that we should be careful with the words that come out of our mouths! We live in such a dark time and there are so many things in life that we have no control over, but our words aren’t one of them. If a kind word can change a life or make someone’s day, or pull someone out of a dark pit, or lift someone’s spirits, isn’t that enough for us to freely give it? I speak to myself. May He continue to teach us, grow us, and mold us.

This month, I created this layout in a pocket page as a simple reminder and I loved how it turned out.
