And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:7
What does it look like to have real peace? In my mind, it looks like me sitting outside on a sunny day with my family. The kids are running around playing. Everyone is happy and healthy. There’s nowhere we have to go and nothing we have to do. I can relax and feel secure because the things that cause me stress and worry have been taken away.
But… that’s not what real life looks like. Most of the time, life is super busy. We’re going from one thing to the next. There’s a steady stream of one worry after another. Even in the midst of this chaos that we call life, we can still have peace. Through Jesus, we can have peace – true peace, even on the busiest days.
It turns out that genuine peace is not the removal of all the things that cause me stress, but the ability to not be overwhelmed by them. Peace isn’t a life of ease and leisure. Peace is having confidence that Jesus will sustain me through even the most difficult of circumstances. We just have to trust in Him and know that He’s got us in His hands.
For this page, I started out by creating a tag from a journaling card and adding a piece of twine. Using the stickers from the kit, some alpha stickers, and some alpha stamps, I created my title. I added some washi tape to anchor the title. From a visual standpoint, I really wanted to keep this page clean and simple to help create a peaceful look.
