Bible Journaling with Heidi: He Knows

Hi friends! I am happy to be back with another post. The devotional from this kit is so powerful – I just want to make #allthepages with this kit!

My life has been quite busy lately, as school has been absolutely crazy – Papers to hand in, piano practicing, and more papers to hand in. It has been hard for me to find time to be with God, and hard for me to have a peaceful heart, as I am always so busy and stressed out. So this devotional really hit home for me, once again.

I was sitting down the other day, after having worked on a paper all afternoon, rereading the devotional. I was reminded that God knows what we are going through, because Jesus went through so much here on earth.

Luke 22:44 says : “And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

Well, that suffering is quite harder than what I am “suffering” with school. Yet what did He do? Turn to social media? No. Have a pity party? No. Complain to the disciples? No. He prayed!

Why is it that it is so hard for me, and I assume for you too, to pray when we are struggling? Why do we turn to other things before turning to prayer, or to God’s Word?

Friends, God knows what you and I are going through. Why don’t we just try crying out to Him through prayer and trust Him? That is the challenge I give to you, and to myself, this week – Whenever you are finding yourself in a stressful or rough situation, pray. You may not feel His peace right away, but it will definitely be better than complaining, or just scrolling on social media. Let’s cry out to God.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this post, and read what God has been teaching me in this busy season of life. You can still buy this kit here (http://rwrd.io/wkjedmx?c) – I highly recommend it, even if it is just for the devotional! You can follow me for other fun crafty projects over at @creative4hisglory . Thank you for your support, and remember to pray this week!
