Something I have thought about again and again is what is my purpose?
I’ve just begun my 13th year teaching. I love my new school, my schedule, and being back in PreK working with the littlest ones. But policies, testing, and time has been a concern more than one time in my career. I have even googled ‘what to do with a teaching degree’. I’ve had similar moments of wondering what like would be like if… if we didn’t have kids, if we didn’t move, if I joined a church group right after moving, if we bought that other house…. what if…
But the what if’s don’t help. Jesus tells us not to worry. I have made these choices for my life. I have prayed about many of them. I have learned to trust God’s plan for my life.
I call to God Most High,
to God who fulfills his purpose for me.
Time and time again I am reminded that I am a wife, a mother, and a teacher. That is my purpose: to do all of this for His Glory. To shine the light and be an example of true love in my marriage, for my children, and in my classroom.
I made a simple tip-in using stickers and stamps from this kit as well as paper scraps from my stash. I wrote out a prayer to thank God for his plans for my life, and to hopefully remember that they are better than any plans I could make for myself.
Have you found your purpose?
