Bible Journaling with Heidi | You are the girl for the job

Hello everybody! I am really excited to be back and sharing this post with you, because this ties in with a book I am currently reading. You may already know from the title, it is called You Are The Girl For The Job by Jess Connolly. In it, she talks about how we are all meant to be doing what we are doing, even if we believe that we aren’t good enough, pretty enough, talented enough etc.

I thought that tied in pretty well with this kit and devotional. Moses didn’t think he was the guy for the job. In Exodus 3:11, Moses says “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” God replies and tells Moses that He will be with him. A few verses later, Moses argues once again and says “But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice for they will say ‘The Lord did not appear to you.‘” (Ex. 4:1)

And Moses just keeps on arguing and making excuses that he isn’t right for the job. He keeps doing that, again in Exodus 6:10-12, “So the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land.’ But Moses said to the Lord, ‘Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?’

Another excuse. We forget how powerful God is. Moses didn’t think he was the guy for the job, yet God used him in amazing and powerful ways! He can use us in amazing ways too, but we need to let Him. He can even use our weaknesses for His glory. You are the girl for the job. You were created for a reason. You are doing your job, your ministry, etc. – all for God’s glory and purpose. Trust Him!

Thank you for following along, once again! I really appreciate it and I hope you become passionate about being who God made you to be. You are the girl for the job.
