“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”Matthew 6:25-26
Here in Matthew, Jesus points out that worrying about your life has no affect on how things will go. You cannot change things by worrying about them. Instead, trust in God and seek His will and kingdom first. The example he uses here is the birds of the air. They do not worry about tomorrow because God provides for them.
We as humans are so much more valuable than the birds because we are “made in his image” (Genesis 1:27). He made us special above all other creatures, and He loves us. You are so valuable in His eyes.
I wanted to journal these verses in Matthew, but when I went to my bible, I realized that I had some bleed through from the other side of the page. I had stamped on the other side without prepping my page first. In order to cover up the bleed through, I started with a thin layer of white acrylic paint on a paint card. I did a few thin layers, letting them dry in between, and being careful around the text. My bible page is cream and not white so it looked messy and discolored. I mixed together a few colors of acrylic to get a color that matched the kit and apply that much like I did the white paint. I used the bird from stamp set and fussy cut it out from a piece of scrapbook paper. I started out using the feathers from the stamps included in the kit, but because they were solid it did not work well stamping them on paper and cutting them out. I used a stamp set that I had in my stash for the feathers, but you can use the ones in the set. I used the stickers to write out my title and added a few enamel dots and washi to add a little pop of color.
