People were talking. People were curious. From town to town, house to house, people were starting to speculate and question about who He was. He pulled His disciples away from the crowd to a beautiful hillside, and took the opportunity to ask the question to those who knew Him best.
“Who do you say I am?” Peter was the first to speak. “You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.”
Thousands of years later, Jesus’ question still resounds and Peter’s answer still holds true yesterday, today, and forever.
What about you? Who do you say Jesus is? Who is Jesus to you each and everyday?
He is not honored by our ignorance. So in order to receive Christ in a way that honors Him, in a way that saves, we must recognize who He really is. Each and everyday. We must see His glory and agree in our heart that He is indeed worthy of all our trust and obedience.
