Hello friends! I am so excited to be back with another post! This devotional has been so amazing, and I decided to answer the question Jesus asks His disciples – “Who do YOU say I am?”. I read a few different verses in John and decided to journal through some of Jesus’ seven “I am” statements.
This one is in John 10, where Jesus says that not only is He the door, but also the Good Shepherd.
“So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I amthe good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. “
I am part of the youth group leader team at my church, and last night at youth group, we were sharing what we had learned in our Bibles this week and someone shared something that really hit me and goes so well with the theme of this kit. He said, “How we view Jesus changes everything.” This is so true! If we view Him as maybe being real or not really being powerful, then we aren’t going to have true faith in what He can do. But if we believe that He is the door, the Good Shepherd, the Messiah, etc. – then that changes everything!
That’s why this exercise of answering the question “Who do you say I am?” is so important! It changes everything. I invite you do keep on meditating on this question this week.
Thank you for taking the time to read this once again! You can still buy this kit here (http://rwrd.io/wkjedmx?c) as well as some new coordinating printables that have released. I used some of them on this page (the journaling cards, washi strip and Bible tab). You can find me on Instagram @creative4hisglory to see more of my Bible journaling pages! I plan on using this kit more to journal more of the seven I AM statements! Have a great week, friends!
