Bible Journaling with Diana | Grow My Character

My church is working through a sermon series on elevating our faith; the most recent sermon was how to elevate our character. And the model of elevated character is Jesus: He is the blueprint for how we are to live our lives.

…we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.

Romans 5:3-4

Through effort, training, and practice we are able to live with a hope that our life is part of something bigger. When reading this passage, my pastor mentioned these trials and afflictions are like going through the fire… and I was reminded of this month’s kit theme: Unsinged. Unburned. Going through the fire and coming out unharmed.

When I saw the heart-tree stamp from this month’s kit, I thought of growth. How long it can take to grow and change. How I want to grow and become a better version of myself. How I want to live the life God has called me for. How I want to follow the blueprint of Jesus’ life and actions.

I repeat stamped the heart-tree stamp in the background, and added the title using the alpha stickers. I used the sticker sheet and enamel dots as a finishing touch.Photo Feb 01, 12 19 26 PM

I have plenty of space for journaling, and I know I will add this last nugget of wisdom from the sermon: God grows us in our weakness.
