Bible Journaling with Diana | Rejoice in His Love

Psalm 31 is listed as a ‘plea for protection’. In this Psalm, David is calling out to God for his protection. As he was literally hiding to protect his life, he prays to God in order to praise Him.  Again and again David turns his troubles back to praising God and rejoicing in His faithful love.

I will rejoice and be glad in your faithful love
because you have seen my affliction.

16 Make your face shine on your servant;
save me by your faithful love.

21 Blessed be the Lord,
for he has wondrously shown his faithful love to me
in a city under siege.

God loves us so much, He will take care of us. He will provide for us. He will restore us. All we have to do is trust in Him and rely on His power.

23 Love the Lord, all his faithful ones.
The Lord protects the loyal,
but fully repays the arrogant.
24 Be strong, and let your heart be courageous,
all you who put your hope in the Lord.

I want to  remember to always turn my problems back to God and be grateful for what I have and what He has done for me.

For this page I had fun playing around with some distress oxides and a brayer. Rolled some ink onto my page and then sprayed it with water to add texture. I then scraped some white paint over it to tone down the colors just a bit.

I then created a double title using the kit stickers and some more alphas from past kits. I had a left over floral that I printed, so I fussy cut it and added it to the top and bottom of the page, over some stamping of the large fern-looking leaf stamp, colored some outlines of the flowers, and called it a day.
