Bible Journaling with Heidi | Look at yourself carefully

Hi friends! I am back this week to show you this little flipbook I created in my interleaved Bible as well as my heart behind it. I created this flipbook because I had already journaled on the page in both of my journaling Bibles. However, creating a little booklet like this is a good option if you want to journal but don’t have a journaling Bible!

Let’s pretend it’s Monday morning, and you are getting ready for an important job interview. You go to look in the mirror to make sure you look good and ready for the interview and you realize you have chocolate all over your face from breakfast. But you don’t care and walk away. Would you do that? Yeah, me neither. I would definitely wash it off, make sure I have no chocolate anywhere else on myself, and I would probably check myself in the mirror another time or two just to make sure!

So why do we do this with the Word? We read God’s Word and see ourselves in a mirror. We see that we are dirty and need to wash something off, yet we don’t do it! We just walk away!

James 1:22 says, “But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Friends, we need to take action towards what we are learning and reading in the word! We need to be active about it and not passive. I invite you (and I will do the same) to pay attention to that this week. To look into the mirror of God’s Word carefully, and take action! I also encourage you to think of this every time you look into an actual mirror this week – it’s a great reminder!

Thank you for reading what God put on my heart as I was creating this entry today. I pray that it encourages and blesses you. The kit is sold out, however, you can still get the faithfilled digitals (which is what I used for this page) as well as pre-order next month’s kit right here (http://rwrd.io/wkjedmx?c). You can follow me on Instagram @creative4hisglory for more Bible journaling projects!
