Bible Journaling with Aaron | Seventy Times Seven

In the Amazing Grace devotional, Ashley states, “No one is ever too far gone to chase down with the relentless love and grace. Our God is one of second chances, SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN chances — and infinity ♾ more. How can we not be, too? FORGIVEN PEOPLE FORGIVE PEOPLE. Let’s live that out!”

Now I don’t know about you, but sometimes this is so hard!

Me: How could I forgive that family member, who hurt me? How could I forgive my mother, who didn’t protect me? How could I forgive that man, who didn’t ask?

God: You know how! Just as I forgave you. You are a sinner, and I have forgiven you in Christ Jesus.

We have to forgive, because God forgave us, when WE did not deserve it. There’s no way of healing if we do not forgive; our hearts and our minds will dwell in the past.

In John 8:7, “And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”

So, today I ask, I seek and I knock, I challenge myself to heal and forgive. As God did for me.

Matthew 18:21-35
