Bible Journaling with Jill | New Creation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:17

When we trust in Christ, the Bible says we become a new creation. He removes our old, hard heart, and He gives us a new heart – one that is tender and responsive. God begins molding us into His image, and as we are transformed, our wants and desires will change to reflect His. This change does not take place overnight. It is a slow process, and one of the ways that we show our faith is by trusting that God is working on us and through us even when we can’t see it.

I created the background of this page with purple and blue acrylic paints. I used two different shades of each color and blended them on the page. I also blended in some white acrylic to soften the colors (it’s important to do this while the paint is still wet). In the center of the page, I painted a white circle to provide the space for my title. I used the stickers and stamps from the kit to write out the title. Using the stamps from the kit and black embossing powder, I added flowers to the bottom of the page. I also used a Ranger embossing pin to draw in the stems and circle the title. Finally, I marked the verse with heart stickers that were included in the kit.

Thanks for following along. Be sure to check out this kit along with other great journaling products from Creative Retreat Kits. You can follow me on Instagram for more inspiration.
