Bible Journaling with Heidi | God’s plans are better than my own

Hello everybody! I am excited to be back to share this blog post with you all! As usual, the timing of this could not be better. I don’t know about you, but I love making plans. I need to know what is going to happen during my week, and even my month and I need to have it all in front of my eyes.

But sometimes, our plans are not God’s plans! I realized that I often take matters into my own hands, and will only go to God when it doesn’t work out. That’s not the way things should go! I need to listen to God more and trust Him more.

Proverbs 16:2-4 says : “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.”

I want to commit my work to the Lord. I want to trust Him in ALL things, because He has a purpose for everything and in everything. Is there a purpose behind the pandemic? I’m pretty sure there is! Is there a purpose behind a day at work going badly? Yes! I think we need to examine our hearts and remember that God is in control. It’s not about me.

I hope this encouraged you, and I invite you to really try to bring your cares and thoughts and anxiety to the Lord first. Don’t try to take matters into your own hands…. It most likely won’t work out. I have been working on this a lot in the past few days, and I think that it will be a lifelong process! Trust Him, friends.

Thank you for taking some time out of your day today to read this! I invite you to check out this kit here (http://rwrd.io/wkjedmx?c) as well as the printables! The devotional is absolutely amazing, and I highly encourage you to read it. As always, you can find me on Instagram @creative4hisglory for more journaling projects!
