Bible Journaling with Heidi | Trust God’s Plans

Hello everybody! I am happy to be back to share about what God has been teaching me in the past week or two. I don’t know if you are like me, but I love planning and creating goals for the year, goals like memorizing a certain amount of verses, or plans like finally travelling to my dream destination, Europe. But this December, I keep feeling like there is no point. A lot of my goals and plans for 2020 didn’t happen. So why make some for 2021 when the pandemic is still here?

But God calls us to trust Him and not fear. Isaiah 12:2 says : “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

And that’s the journey I have been on in the past few weeks. I may have what I want my future to look like all planned out in my head, but I need to trust Him. In everything. It’s easy to say that we trust God and believe in Him, but it’s a lot harder to actually do it. I am a very independent person, and I like doing things on my own. But God wants me to trust in Him, and I need to trust Him for 2021 too!

This week, I invite you to really pray about next year, and ask God to help you trust Him. I believe that doing that will draw you closer to Him! He has definitely helped me draw closer to Him these past few weeks, as I have tried to put my trust in Him more and more.
