Bible Journaling with Jill | His Word is Truth

This God – his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.”

2 Samuel 22:31

Everyday we are constantly taking in information from sources all around us. On social media, we are bombarded with all kinds of information. Much of which is not true. You can’t believe everything you read on Facebook or Twitter. You can’t believe every picture you see on Instagram. It requires discernment to determine which things are true, which things are false, and which things are a mixture of the two.

The Bible is completely different. From Genesis to Revelation it is trustworthy and true because it is the word of God. Scripture is the authority, not us. We submit to it, not the other way around. David recognized this when he wrote his song of deliverance where this verse appears. The word of the eternal, almighty God will always prove true, and you (like David) can build your life on that.

For this page, I used a mixture of elements from the kit and the faithfilled digitals. I knew I wanted to use the journaling card as my focal point. I layered it with another journaling card and a faux washi strip from the digitals. I added some stitching details to the layered journaling cards. I used the beautiful florals included in the digital printables. Before glueing it all down on the page, I used the stencil and Creative Retreat Ink Gargoyle to add some leaves behind the card. I finished off with some paint splatters and a few heart stickers.

Thanks for following along. Be sure to check out this kit along with other great journaling products from Creative Retreat Kits. You can follow me on Instagram for more inspiration.
