Bible Journaling with Jill | Jesus Came to Save

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.

1 Timothy 1:15

This month’s devotional is about the sovereignty of God and how his ways are higher than ours (Isa 55:9). This month we will celebrate a milestone in the unfolding of God’s redemptive plan – the birth of Christ. The birth of the Messiah is celebrated around the world because of the reason for his coming -“Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Tim. 1:15). “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman…to redeem” (Gal. 4:4). The birth of Jesus was not by mere coincidence. It was a part of God’s sovereign plan. In the same way, the crucifixion of Christ occurred according to the “definite plan” of God (Acts 2:23). God’s sovereignty is revealed in the unveiling of his glorious plan of redemption.

For this page, I used the branch stamp from the kit and Dusty Lime Creative Retreat ink to create a Christmas tree. I used the Victory Alpha set and the stickers included in the kit to write out my title. I used the printable papers and a hole punch to cut out small ornaments, and then I glued them on the tree. I also used the Enamel Shapes – Stars from Creative Retreat to embellish the tree. I finished with some paint splatters and my date stamp.

Thanks for following along. Be sure to check out this kit along with other great journaling products from Creative Retreat Kits. You can follow me on Instagram for more inspiration.
