I’ve spent the past several months studying the book of John with BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). I love that John’s focus was always on Jesus and His love for His people. John even referred to himself as “the one whom Jesus loved” not out of pride, but because John knew the love of Christ. He had an intimate, personal relationship with the Son of God, and his identity was in Jesus and His love for him. And that is my identity too!
I am a chosen, loved, friend of Jesus Christ. He died for me. In my place. For my sins.
There is no greater love!
“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us” 1 John 4:16

Sometimes I have to keep my thoughts focused on this simple truth. The very truth the enemy works so hard to make me doubt. But the truth is…
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so”
I used the lovely May faith art box to create this simple page. I first stamped “Jesus” using black staz on ink. I then used the alpha stickers to complete the phrase “Jesus loves me.” After that I drew the cross and hand lettered “This I know.” (I always do this in pencil first and then go over it with my illustrated faith pen) I framed my journaling with the beautiful flower stamps from the kit. I LOVE these flowers and know I will use them a lot! To add a little color to my page I used my neocolor II water soluble crayons and a water brush. I did a very light wash of blue for the background which is kind of hard to see in the picture. For my final touches I like to add some washi tape, a tab, and some word stickers to my page. One of my favorite things to do is find just the right word stickers to sum up my journaling. “Jesus,” “great,” and “love” were perfect!
